I grew up in Santa Barbara, California and have lived in many other places since, such as, Carmel, Lake Tahoe, Napa, Truckee, New York and at this moment in my life....Reno, Nevada!

As a small child I can remember coming home from school and upon opening the door of the house smelling the oil paints knowing my mother was consumed in another painting. I have followed her love of art. Even though I paint in oil my favorite medium is watercolor because of the challenge. I try to imitate my oils in that I paint in rich deep colors not commonly done in watercolor. Then to my delight many people say "Is that a watercolor?"

My personal challenge is to create a painting that excites me when I finally step back from my efforts and see what I have created.This is a gift I truly enjoy and LOVE sharing with others. And that makes me smile!
